Our Teach For A Day presentation was on social inequality in South Africa. The inspiration for this topic came after we finished reading Don't Let's Go To The Dogs Tonight, a novel about a white family who lives in South Africa. The main character's name is Bobo and she faces many hardships with her family. We used this book to help give us a glimpse of the hardships in South Africa, through the minority's perspective (a white family). My group went to O.Henry to teach a class our lesson. The objectives of our lesson was to teach the kids about South African history, segregation, poverty, and civil war with an included simulation and ACE activity.

AP Environmental Science Lionfish Presentation (Science)
For this project in AP Environmental Science students could choose an animal from the ocean and study it to find out what impacts humans have on them and what they do for their environment. After we made our presentation all students had to present it to the class so everyone could learn about a diverse array of ocean species. I have been interested in lionfish for along time because of their predatory instincts and adaptability to many environments. Unfortunately lionfish are an invasive species that are wreaking havoc on their non native environment...
